About the organisation
Research For Life is the public face of the Wellington Medical Research Foundation Inc. It supports innovative quality research with a focus on funding researchers in the early stages of their careers who, through their work, will advance the quality of healthcare in the Wellington region and beyond.

About the role
Reporting to the Chairperson, it will suit a multi-skilled generalist who can turn their skills to a range of different responsibilities including;
  • Financial management and administration of the organisation,
  • Management and oversight of the grants programme,
  • Producing regular newsletters and updating the website,
  • Supporting and servicing the Board as Board Secretary, and the Research Advisory Committee as administrator,
  • Collection and collation of information and research reports for annual publication.
  • Donor, benefactors and supporter relations.

About you
You could have gained relevant experience in a diverse range of settings that incorporate the efficient and effective management of a small organisation. Skills sought include;
  • A sound understanding of financial management systems such as Xero,
  • While not necessary, exposure to grants be it as donor and/or recipient would be useful
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Well-developed written and verbal communications skills
  • An ability to relate well to stakeholders including donors, benefactors, institutions and researchers.
