OCG are working with one of New Zealand’s leading insurance brokerages to search for a detail-oriented and proactive Broker Support to join their friendly team in Hamilton. If you are level 5 qualified with working insurance experience and want to progress your career in a huge New Zealand business, this could be the perfect role for you!

The Role

As a Broker Support, you will play a key role in supporting the Senior Broker in the Hamilton office to deliver outstanding service to their SME and mid-market clients. This is a dynamic position that combines administrative expertise with client service, ensuring smooth operations across the brokerage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist brokers with policy renewals, new business, and client servicing tasks.
  • Prepare and process insurance documentation, including quotes, proposals, and endorsements.
  • Liaise with clients, insurers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate communication.
  • Maintain and update client files and database systems to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Provide support for claims handling and follow-ups when required.
  • Assist in managing workflow and prioritising tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
 
About You

To excel in this role, you’ll bring:
  • Previous experience in a support, administrative, or insurance-related role (insurance experience preferred).
  • Level 5 Qualification essential
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality service.
