Finance Business Analyst

Job Summary:
As a Finance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in shaping the NZ business strategy. Working collaboratively with the local sales, operations and distribution teams, along with the commercial and finance team in Australia, you will provide insightful analysis, reporting, and tools to support informed decision-making. Your responsibilities will span from customer profitability and product pricing to financial forecasting and strategic planning.

Experience, Skills & Competencies:
- Prior experience in a similar financial analysis role.
- Ongoing or completed accounting qualification.
- Data-driven with a strong level of commercial acumen.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly SAP.
- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI
- Analytical mindset with a proactive, positive attitude.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and presentation skills.
- Effective communication, especially in conveying finance concepts to non-finance professionals.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- High level of integrity, trustworthiness, and self-awareness.
- Strong planning, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Adaptable to change and innovative in approach.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with commercial leads, offering analytical support and insights on customer profitability, product pricing, and marketing investments.
- Own the NZ FP&A function, including monthly reporting, financial forecasts, budgeting, and strategic planning.
- Support the Regional Finance Manager (based in Melbourne) on various financial aspects, such as month-end processes, AP, AR, and statutory requirements.
- Drive key business projects, collaborating with stakeholders to improve efficiency and profitability in the NZ business.

This role is above entry level, but not senior.  You’ll be a tech savvy, talented analyst, hungry to learn and develop your partnering and FP&A skills, in a role you can truly make your own.
