The firm are over 40 staff New Zealand wide with a strong reputation across the Waikato district. They predominantly work in the SME – mid market space across rural, forestry, transport and aviation.
As compliance manager, you could be based out of either Hamilton, Rotorua or Tauranga – with occasional travel to each.
As compliance manager you will be implementing, maintaining and improving business policies, processes and controls to ensure they meet obligations relating to:
- Relevant legislation, regulation and code
- Good conduct
- Product provider contracts
- FAP license standard and non-standard conditions
Other responsibilities include:
- Act as the primary contact point for all compliance and regulatory or legislative issues internally and externally
- Set up and monitor processes and procedures that facilitate compliance
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulation, codes and regulator guidance notes
- Ensuring product provider contract obligations are being met;
- Prepare and ensure all regulatory filing and reporting obligations are completed on time
- Investigate and manage breaches of relevant procedures, policies and rules and manage disputes and complaints with external parties
- Manage applicable internal registers such as incident
For consideration, you should have NZCFS Level 5 and have at least 5 years working experience of the insurance field. We would consider experienced brokers with solid SME client knowledge who are looking to step away from the client side.
Salary on offer is up to $110,000 plus benefits.
