Associate Risk Adviser

We have 2 roles within the risk advisory support space for a favourite client of OCG who are celebrating their 10th year in business. They are a (NZ) owner managed and have enjoyed fast organic growth in that time, with a team of over 75 staff across New Zealand. They are well known in the market for their modern, collaborative and very transparent way of working with clients. 

As Risk Adviser you will play a pivotal part in both the management of existing clients and the exciting development of new ones. It is the key bridge between the Adviser and Admin team, and will open up doors to progress to roles such as Domestic Broker, Commercial Broker or Business Development Manager further down the line. 

About the Roles:

As Associate Risk Adviser you can expect to:
  • Do the preparation of client insurance program documents and premium calculations
  • Build and maintain relationships with insurers and clients
  • Do the day-to-day servicing of new and existing clients
  • Be able to support with client queries (non-advisory)
  • Request terms from insurers
  • Attend meetings with clients and prepare minutes
  • Prepare reports & calculation sheets
  • Liaise with internal teams such as finance, the processing team, risk adviser teams, senior management

About You:

To thrive in these roles, you should:
  • Ideally have at least 2 years experience within Insurance - in fin lines or liability would be advantageous!
  • Possess an impeccable eye for detail and accuracy
  • Excel in time management in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Be highly collaborative and an effective communicator
  • To have or be working towards Financial Services Level 5 is desired although not essential
You must also have the rights to work in New Zealand and be available to interview in person, in Auckland.
